Thank you to all who helped feed & serve our Cub Scout families on Friday night!  And a special thanks to Mary T for coming early and staying late to keep everything running smoothly!!

Braves outing was GREAT!  Even though it looked like the Braves were going to drop the game on Sunday, they came back in the late innings to make for an exciting finish & win!!  Cannot get more exciting than a instant replay review of a McCann home run to end the game!!  Great time and thanks Mary J & Melissa for making this event happen. 

T Shirts are in & they look marvelous (insert Billy Crystal voice over now…..)!!!!  Pick up your shirts this Sunday and don’t forget to pay for them as we have already paid for the shirts.  Make your checks out to Hollydale & mark in the comment or envelope “T Shirt”.  Thanks Alice for all your hard work on these!!!!

Fall Studies:  Financial Help/Budgeting & Mark!!  Sign up sheets to come around on Sunday.  We are offering two studies this Fall.  One is a biblically based Financial course to give you the tools to help manage your finances (is there anyone who couldn’t use this!!).  The other is a Life Application study of the Gospel of Mark.  Several times to choose from so come join us & invite friends!!  Sign up sheets at the church or email:leonard.akers@ngumc.net

Missing Peace Ministry, Wednesdays at 6:30pm:  Come join us as we continue this new ministry.  If you or someone in your life is struggling with anything that is unmanageable, something that you cannot fix on your own, then please join us.

Lunch after Church – Sunday, September 12:  Join us for a meal right after the 11am service on this Sunday.  Bring your favorite dish and don’t forget the desserts!!  The church will provide drinks.

Not ready to be a Cheerleading Coach or a Referee, but still want to support our league:  Sponsor a child!!  We do not like turning away kids because they cannot afford the league fees so we have several children who could use a scholarship.  The fee is $85, but any amount would be appreciated.  Sponsor a kid and support our recreation ministry!  Simply mark your check or envelope Football Scholarship.  Thanks!!

Be a Tutor and serve your community:   Project Light English Classes Tutor Orientation:  Aug. 31 or Sept. 1, 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m., at Hollydale UMC.  NO EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED, JUST A HEART FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO LEARN ENGLISH!!

Church Needs:   We could use hand soap, hand sanitizer.  Also paper towels and bath tissue are always a need.

Food Pantry Needs:  We need Pasta, Spaghetti Sauce, Rice, Beans and Canned Vegetables. 

Giving Tree:  Stop by and grab an item off of our giving tree.  Pick up the item the next time you are at the store and bring it by the church.  These go to our local missions and help in our local community.
