Meet our Music
Director Fred Birk |
I am
originally from the Midwest state of Iowa and a
very proud Uncle of four. I am always grateful
to God for the talent he gave to me and I have
been very involved with music from an early age
of 9. I can remember one day noticing the hands
of the pianist at my mom and dad's church and
they had huge diamonds on them. I thought this
was from playing the pia no
so much!!
From the age of sixteen I have been playing the
piano or organ or directing a choir for church.
Even though I know-how to the play the organ I
much prefer the piano so Hollydale is a perfect
fit!
I went to school to become
a music teacher and I had a teaching job at a
private school in NW Arkansas. I have also
played music for lots of different events
including Country Clubs, Dinner Theater, Musical
Theater, Weddings and Funerals. I really enjoy
going to concerts and trying to get backstage to
meet the artists. Ask me sometime and I will be
glad to tell you about the different artists I
have met.
