Donnie’s service will be here at
Hollydale this Saturday at 4:30pm. Please continue to
pray for this family, especially Patricia, Eddie and
Sue.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting
donations to help pay for Donnie’s cremation. If this is
laid on your heart, you can make your donation to
Hollydale UMC and mark your check or envelope, “Donnie.”
Blessings,
Leonard

The prayer request now is:
Now that Chester is transferring to rehab, his health
continues to improve allowing him to stay in rehab, and
then quickly transition home. God has been with Chester

An update on Chester Standridge who has been in the
hospital and on a ventilator for a good while. Things
are looking up for him and we ask for continued prayers
for him and his family. Pray that his tests/scans come
back clear today and he can soon be moved to rehab. See
Chris Standridge’s update below…
I just spoke with Bonnie and she said that they are
going to do two more tests/scans today. If those tests
come out clear, and his numbers remain up the rest of
the day today, he will be moved (FINALLY!) to rehab
tomorrow. Although the doctors at the hospital are
hesitant to move him, Bonnie has talked to the folks at
rehab and they are quite confident they will be able to
work with him and get him off the ventilator. He is
still “out of it” (to quote Bonnie) but the rehab
therapists have told her that he has something they
refer to as “ICU delirium” and they can work with him to
get him out of that state.
The family (and specifically Bonnie) is asking for
prayers that his tests/scans come back clear today, his
numbers remain up until they move him and continue to
remain up (and go up!) while in rehab so that he doesn’t
have to return to the hospital.
Thank you everyone for your ongoing prayers!!

Urgent prayers are needed for the Bigelow family.
Just received the message below from Leonard regarding
Donnie.
Last night Patricia came home to find her twin brother
Donnie had passed away sometime during the day.
We do not know any details behind his passing at this
point, but please be in prayer for Patricia, Donnie’s
mother Sue, and the rest of Donnie’s family and friends.
We need God’s comfort right now for this family and for
those of us who knew Donnie as a wonderful person.
Blessings,
Leonard

Prayers for the terrible accident that happened over the
weekend. Suzannah is the lady who helps with our food
pantry and tutoring.
Good afternoon-
I don't know if you have been following the news, but a
former student was involved in that crash in Florida on
Sunday, and her entire family was killed. She is in
intensive care still, but today she found out that she
has no more family. Here is the article in the MDJ:

If you and your church could put her in your prayers, I
know she would be grateful. My heart aches for this
girl.

I received the update
below on Rachel Alls, who underwent a liver biopsy last
week. Praises for the good news about her liver and
please continue to hold Rachel in your prayers as she
deals with the Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Thank you.
I finally got word today regarding Rachel's biopsy. "the
liver biopsy showed no scarring (good news!). There are
"mild changes" but it is likely related to the
underlying disease (JRA)." Rachel will have a follow up
visit in 3 months.
There is still one questions that was not explained
medically, that can only be explained by God and the
power of prayer. Why have her levels been elavated since
we started this back in April - peaking in July (which
we were told the medicine for her RA was causing it to
go up), yet she is taking the same meds now and the day
before the biopsy - her levels were "normal". The doctor
was not able to give me a medical answer. She just said
"sometimes it happens." We will continue to keep an eye
on her liver. Hopefully, we will not have any more
scares!
Between the new JRA meds and not having to worry about
the liver as much, she is doing much better.
Thank you to everyone praying for Rachel! You all mean
so much to us!

I received the prayer request below from Ed Beacham for
his neighbor Connie. Please hold Connie in your prayers
as she continues to deal with her struggles. Thank you.
Brothers & Sisters,
Please lift up a prayer for a friend, neighbor, & client
Connie. Connie is a nurse who has been living excerpts
from the book of Job. She just has previously fought off
an antibiotic resistant infection that required direct
antibiotic infusions keeping her out of work for 1.5
yrs. Then she had hip replacement surgery in late
October & now has a problem with the replacement hip
coming out of joint. Her insurance coverage has run out
as have her patience with being sick. Having been out of
work for almost two years she is now facing financial
concerns.
Please ask God to grant Connie His patience, peace,
strength, comfort & knowledge that all is in His hands
and will be well. She is scheduled for March 29th for
follow-up hip surgery replacing the artificial socket
installed in October. Join me in thanking God for the
plans He has for Connie & to restore her health, peace,
strength & comfort in her future. Also, be in prayer for
the doctors, nurses, technicians, & medical
professionals for guidance, wisdom & His knowledge while
they tend to & treat Connie.
YBIC,
Ed

Received the note below from
Nicole Keyser regarding her mother and Matt. Praises
that her mom does not have cancer and continued prayers
for Matt as they work through his seizure situation.
Thank you.
My mom just got a call. She does NOT have cancer.
The rest will have to be repaired but the worse part is
over.
Thanks for the prayers!!!!!
Now for an update on Matt:
His MRI is tomorrow morning at 11:30am. I almost took
him to the er last night due to he's having a hard time
standing. Here is some history, the seizures were so bad
that in 2007, Matt ended up walking with a cane and then
a wheel chair due to this same reason. Please pray that
we won't have to go back there. This is like living
those 2 years all over again.
This is probably to much and I'm sorry.

Please hold Matt Keyser in your
prayers. Matt has been suffering with seizures and had
one during worship service yesterday. Our wonderful
church stopped and prayed immediately for Matt and
healing. The doctors have told him that he can’t drive
until they get the seizures under control. This will put
Nicole in the position of handling a lot of things that
Matt has been doing for while. Please keep this family
in your thoughts and prayers as they work through this
situation. Thank you.

Please hold Felicia Padgett and
her girls in your prayers. They have to move in a few
weeks and she’s meeting with a lady today to look at a
home that has three bedrooms, 2 baths, plus a basement,
in her price range and they allow pets. Felicia is
excited but ask for your support through prayers that
everything falls into place as she hopes. Thank you.

Please continue to hold Rachel Alls and her family in
your prayers. She had a liver biopsy on Friday and they
are awaiting results.
Please be in prayer for Stanley White and Lynn Reynolds'
8 year old niece Rachael Alls. Rachael was diagnosed
last year about this time with severe juvenile
rheumatoid arthritis which doctors are having a very
hard time finding a medication to control her pain. Now,
she will have a liver biopsy on January 20th for
problems with liver enzyme levels. Thank you.
