Susan I came home for the funeral of my aunt Christina and my mom had to be hospitalized. She is home and doing well. My brother drove me to the train station this morning and suffered a heart attack while we were waiting on the train. Please ask the church to pray for him! I love my brother so much!

Prayer Request

Please keep in your prayers the North Georgia United Methodist Annual Conference, which is taking place in Athens, GA this week.  Pastor April, Tiffany Evans, David and Carolyn Wilson are all attending from our congregation.  I’m sure they will appreciate everyone’s prayers.  Also attached is a special message from the Bishop requesting prayers for all in attendance.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please add Gail Draper to your prayer list.  She is having a lot of trouble with her foot, also is experiencing difficulty with the doctor's office.  Gail has a hole in the bottom of her foot and nothing seems to be working to get it closed.  Please pray for healing for Gail and that the Dr.'s office staff get the problem there straightened out. Thank you.

Praise!

Praise report!  Bella Louise Marie William's, Brenda Layree's granddaughter in Ohio, came through her surgery very well today!  We give God thanks!  Your prayers meant so much to Brenda and the family!  Here is a picture of Bella two hours after her surgery dabbing for the camera.  Pray for a safe drive home for Brenda who will be driving back to Georgia tomorrow.

Prayer Request

Please be in prayer for Shari Standridge and family.  Steve Standridge, husband, father and son, passed away peacefully early this morning at home after a long battle with cancer.  He was a strong warrior against this terrible disease, but now is at peace and in no pain.  Many will know Steve and Shari through the Emmaus community.  He also was a local pastor at Clem UMC, a very small church in Carrollton.  Please pray for comfort and peace for the family as they grieve the loss of their loved one.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please keep my sisterKetiva Lynchand her application for disability benefitsin your prayers.  She was denied the first go round, but her attorney feels she has a really good chance after appearing today in front of the judge and sharing her health issues and life limitations. The judge will review the case and make a decision in a couple weeks to a month.  Pray for the judge to be thorough, understanding and compassionate and see the need in Ketiva’s life for this support.  She has been trying to get approved for almost two years.  She has Lupus along with rheumatoid arthritis and multiple other health concerns and is no longer able to work or drive.  We appreciate all your prayers!

Prayer Request

Church family,

Please pray for Melissa Wheeler as she continues her recovery at home.  Also pray for healing for her father who is in ICU in South Carolina.

May God continue to heal them both and strengthen them for the road ahead.  May the grace and peace of Christ envelop them and lift them high above their circumstances.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth we pray.  Amen.

In His Service

Prayer Request

Please keep my daughter Kristen’s mother-in-law, Rhonda Cline, in your prayers.  She was taken to Kennestone hospital by ambulance due to being incoherent, shaking and confused.  She couldn’t answer any of the EMT’s questions.  She is on quite a lot of medication due to health issues and they are concerned it is a reaction to taking too much of something or mixing medications that shouldn’t be taken at the same time.  Prayers for the family and the medical team as they try to diagnose what is going on.
