Prayers for Ponce

Prayer Request from Tiffany Evans for her son Ponch who is having surgery today. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you. Hello Everyone! I am reaching out for praying hands this morning...

My precious child #4 - Ponce is going to be having surgery. It is hard to make decisions for another’s medical issues, however I feel after prayer it is the correct one...can everyone please pray for him as I ask for surrounding angels, God’s divine direction for his surgeons, doctors, nurses, and a hedge of protection over the entire procedures. In Jesus name I pray and ask for others to share in meditation.

Update on Cindy

Carole sent another update on Cindy. See below. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. I have an update on Cindy. We took her to Emory St. Joseph hospital this morning. Her white blood cell count has dropped to 16. The doctors have to run some tests to determine what's causing it. Did have an abnormal reading on her liver function so will possible start there. Please keep praying

Prayer Request

Received update and request for prayers this morning from Carole about Cindy. Please pray! Susan, please send out an urgent need for prayers for my daughter Cindy We had to take her to urgent care last night and they kept her. She had labs done yesterday which showed that she has major problems. Don't know if they will transfer her to St. Joseph hospital or not. Will update the info as I get it. Thank you.

Prayer Request

From Susan Davis

Please be in prayer for Connie & Philip Cheek and their family.  Philip is a former coworker of mine and both he and his wife Connie have contracted COVID-19.  Philip is on a ventilator in ICU and Connie was doing okay but relapsed last night with several symptoms and had to be taken to the hospital.  Their daughter Courtney has been providing updates and requested prayers.  Below is her most current update.

As if this week hasn’t been hard enough...My mom relapsed yesterday and her symptoms started coming back full force. Fever, cough, weakness, shortness of breath, and just feeling downright awful. She was having a little bit of pain in her chest/back, and shallow breathing last night, and as she was being closely monitored with the pulse oximeter, her levels kept dropping into the 80’s so she was also taken by ambulance to the hospital in the middle of the night. Please pray for her healing and please also pray for her peace as I know she feels scared after everything my dad has endured (He is still on the ventilator). It has been an overwhelming week for me to say the least, but I will do my best to keep everyone updated as I can.

A good news update from Cortney....

UPDATE: We just received some wonderful news! They were able to reduce my dad’s oxygen from the vent down from 100% to 60%, his peeps (pressure being forced into the lungs) down from 14 yesterday to 8, and his Covid test FINALLY came back and it’s positive so they are now able to move forward with getting the plasma antibody treatment as well as other more targeted treatments! They are also hoping to try to wean him off the paralytic today, though he will still remain sedated. All answered prayers so please keep them coming!!

Update and Continued Prayers

Please continue to keep Cindy Northrup, Carole Shelburne's daughter, in your prayers.  As mentioned a few days ago Cindy went to the hospital with severe back pain and was diagnosed with spinal cancer.   They found out today that she has breast cancer as well.  They are devastated with this news and need prayers.  Cindy's husband Bill is ill as well and unable or willing to help Carole or Cindy and Carole is not strong enough or well enough herself to do it all.  Prayers for answers, comfort and healing in many ways.  They have other family, but most are not available to help.  Thank you.

Continued Prayers

Update on my daughter Kristen and request for continued prayers.  She has been at Blue Ridge Recovery Center since June 12th and seems to be doing well.  She's still a little weak physically, but is eating much better and is in better spirits.  She has classes, counseling and group activities each day as well as chores to do for accountability with her peers.  She's allowed a 15 minute phone call each evening so I've been able to talk with her several times, which is good.  I ask for continued prayers for her during this time she discovers more about herself, learns about handling life's difficulties in different and better ways and heals slowly.  Today is an especially difficult day for her as she has to share her "story" with the group, so I know she will be scared and vulnerable, but it will be healing for her as well.  God's got her!  I thank each of you for your support and prayers and Kristen has received cards and notes from many of you over the past couple weeks and she really appreciates knowing she has that support system.  Love you all and appreciate you so much!

Update and Continued Prayers

Update from Pastor Hull on TJ and request for continued prayers.  Please continue to keep TJ and his parents and the others involved in the accident in your prayers.  Thank you.

Thank you for all the prayers and concerns for TJ.  He is recovering slowly and will be reevaluated this week to determine the full extent of his injuries.  God is a healer!

TJ was released and came home late yesterday.  Stacy and I thought it was very touching that his friend who was driving at the time refuses to leave his side and is at our home.

Prayer Request

Please keep Pastor Terrence & Stacy's son TJ in your prayers.  TJ was involved in a car accident yesterday on his way to Tennessee and suffered a head injury.  He is recovering and Terrence & Stacy will have him back at home tonight.  Pray for mom and dad as they are anxious and I'm sure scared for TJ.  Prayers for comfort and healing.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please be in prayer for Cindy Northrup, Carole Shelburne’s daughter.  Carole sent the message below.  Cindy has been through so much with her husband Bill’s medical issues and now her own.  Pray for answers, comfort and healing.  Thank you.

Susan. Please ask for prayers for my daughter Cindy. She has been having problems for about 6 months with her back. Finally got an answer last night. She has been diagnosed with cancer in her spine and has a broken vertebra. This is what has been causing the pain. They admitted her to the hospital last night, but I have no other information. Please also pray for me as I am now the only one to care for her husband. Thank you so much. Know that you are in my prayers also.

Update

Update on Carole's son-in-law Bill. Please continue to keep him and his family in your prayers. Thank you. Susan, I have an update on Bill. He came home today but is very weak. He still has to have dialysis three times a week. We have to provide transportation until the Va and Medicare decide who is going to pay. Oh the joys of working with the government. Please continue to pray and know that your prayers are appreciated.Thank you all.

Update

My apologies if this is a duplicate message for you.  My company's network had email issues and I received multiple undeliverable messages for folks with bellsouth.netatt.netcomcast.com, etc emails, so I'm sending the email again for those who may not have received it.  See below.  Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  Stay safe!

Please continue to keep Stan Gazaway and Mickeyin your prayers.  Below is an update Mickey posted on Facebook on Tuesday of this week about Stan and their lives right now.

Thank you friends for all your kind words and prayers. Stan is in rehab at Floyd Polk Medical Center in Cedartown. This is his 2nd time there and his 5th move since the accident. They are supposed to start his Physical Therapy tomorrow. His recovery will not be fast but we are trying to get the house ready for his return. I can’t wait to have him home. The last I heard it will be at least 3 weeks. Our boys have built him a great ramp to get in and out of the house. Now we have to redo the bathroom so it is accessible to him. If you have been to our house, you know how small it is, so this is going to be quite an undertaking. The cats and dogs and parakeets and I are going to stay with my friend Sandra Landiss Joiner for a few days while the renovations are taking place. I have rehomed my chickens and my bees. My problem now is Bubba, my parrot. If anybody knows anyone who would be willing to babysit with him for a few weeks please let me know. Memorial Day weekend will be 57 years ago that we met. We have been so blessed for so long and I am grateful to God for every minute we have had together. Keep praying that there will be lots more.
