Please continue to keep Cindy Northrup, Carole Shelburne’s daughter, in your prayers.  As many know, Cindy was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago and has been undergoing two different chemo treatments.  She goes every 3 weeks for treatment, and the after chemo shots are very painful and a problem as they make her sick and cause bone pain.  The shots are necessary as they boost her white cells that the chemo messes with and it takes her a week to recover and by the time she feels better, it’s time to do it again.  Please pray for comfort for Cindy as she struggles through this battle.  It’s an uphill battle for both Cindy and Carole who is there to help and to support her.  Thank you.

Update on Ruth Davenport..... I received the below update from Carolyn Wilson on Ruth Davenport who underwent heart surgery on Monday. Please continue to keep Ruth (and Tip & Patty) in your prayers as she recovers from her surgery. Pray for strength, patience, healing and comfort. If you would like to send a note or card to Ruth, her address is below. Thank you. I talked to Ruth today. She came home from the hospital yesterday. She had a pacemaker put in and is hoping that this will help some of her problems. She has to rest and take it easy, of course. She thanks everyone for their concern and for all of the prayers. Please be in prayer for Mary Justice’s niece, Jamie Justice. Mary shared Jamie’s health concerns below and asked for prayers for Jamie, her husband Michael and their family. Susan, please send this out to the wonderful prayer warriors within Hollydale and to those other praying folks on the email list. Just got a message on fb regarding my Niece, Jamie Justice. Jamie went into the hospital just a couple days ago as she was feeling really bad and has been diagnosed with cancer yesterday. She's going to have a chemo port put in next week and do some chemo over the next few months. There will be a surgery in 3-4 months. The heartbreaking news is the doctor said her life expectancy is around 54 months. I know as well as all the praying warriors that odds can be beat and we serve a Mighty God. Please lift up Jamie and her husband Michael. I am going to share this with Touch of Grace for folks to send cards and I am enclosing that address here as well. They are a sweet couple. This upcoming Sunday, October 4th, is Communion Sunday and communion will be served during the in-person worship service. For those unable to attend the 11:00 service, Pastor Hull has communion elements available for pickup this week from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm, Wednesday – Friday at the church. Stop by, say hello and pick up your communion elements. Communion will also be part of the Facebook Live service starting about 11:30 am. Please join us!

Pastor Hull’s message this Sunday will be “When Your Faith is Tested” and scripture reading will come from Matthew 4:1-11. Hope you can join us either in-person or via our Facebook Live broadcast. God’s going to be there! Have a BLESSED week!

Please keep the family of Alfrado Edwards in your prayers. Alfrado is the husband of Rev. Shirley Edwards and father of Karen Edwards. Alfrado passed away on Wednesday, September 2nd, after a long battle with dementia and poor health.

Please continue to keep Jom Brubaker in your prayers. As many know, Jim has underwent stem cell surgery recently and Nancy posted the update below regarding his condition. Please pray for comfort and continued healing and that the down days like he’s having today he knows that God is holding him close. Thank you.

Need those prayers, dear friends. He’s hit bottom today, sick, profoundly weak and discouraged. The PA said he’s on track...another week or so til the numbers change. Doesn’t make it any easier. Thank you in advance for praying.💖
