Prayer Request from Beth Wier in the Phillippines.

Hi all,

As some of you have heard, the island of Mindanao, the large island in the southern Philippines, is currently under martial law.  The president of the Philippines declared martial law for Mindanao for 60 days following a terrorist attack earlier this week in Marawi, a city in Mindanao which is several hours from Davao (the main city that we go to frequently, which is also on Mindanao).  Thank you so much to all of you who have prayed for us and for Mindanao.  We are all fine and safe, and actually, as far as we can tell at this point, things in Davao are not much different than they were before martial law was declared.  Unfortunately, the terrorist group is still causing problems in Marawi, which the Philippine authorities are trying to handle.  Almost 100 people -- some civilians and several militants -- have been killed in that city.  Again, thank you so much for your prayers, and we would really appreciate your continued prayers for this region and for all of the Philippines.  We believe the Lord has amazing plans for Mindanao and for this nation! :)

My newsletter for May is attached here.  I hope you all are doing well and that you are experiencing the peace and presence of the Lord!

Many blessings on you all!
