Prayers for family of missing girl

Please pray for Jenna Van Gelderen and her family.  Shelley sent the request and attached picture with the information below on the disappearance of Jenna.  Please pray for her safety and that she is reunited with her family.  Thank you.

Susan,

I am asking for prayers for this 25 year old girl and her family. Her name is Jenna Van Gelderen; brown hair; she is a high functioning autistic.  She was house sitting for her family and her brother went to check on her and found she was missing.  She drives a blue Mazda 6 sedan license plate # PWH502.  If anyone sees her or her vehicle they should call DeKalb Police.  She is the daughter of an attorney our firm works closely with.  Prayers that her family gets reunited with their daughter and that Jenna is safe.  There are several articles online regarding her. She has been missing for almost a month.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please keep Ray White, one of Bill Reynolds closest friends (his best man at wedding) in your prayers.  Lynn received sad news from Ray on Saturday that he has stage IV prostate cancer.  He will see a specialist this morning for the treatment direction.  Ray told Lynn that he is in shock, but wanted to let her know one thing and that is he is clinging to the great example she and Bill displayed during his battles with cancer.  Please keep Ray and his family in your prayers as he takes this next step for treatment options and for all his forthcoming days.  Thank you.

Prayer Request - Bella Layrer

Please pray for 6 year old Bella Layrer, Brenda Layrer's granddaughter.  Many of you prayed for her when she was just a baby.  Her seizures have intensified recently and we are praying for healing and wisdom for her doctors.  She had over six (6) seizures this past Friday alone.

The family appreciates your prayers and ask specifically that our Hollydale UMC family pray.

Thank you for your heart.

Prayers for our First Responders

 Message from Pastor April………

Coming up next Monday, September 11th, churches are joining together to have some onsite prayer at both the Powder Springs Police Station and the Cobb County Fire Station next to Compton Elementary School.

9/11 is the perfect day to pray for our public servants. We will meet at the Powder Springs Police Station at 5:30pm and will pray outside and then go in at 5:45pm to pray with officers at the shift change. We will then go to the Fire station (park at Compton) and pray there at 6:30pm.This event is open to anyone who wishes to pray for our police and fire personnel. Feel free to pass this on to any others that might participate. Thank you.

Continued Prayer Request

Please continue to keep my brother-in-law, Jerry Wade, sister Sandy and their family in your prayers.  As mentioned in an earlier email a few days ago, Jerry was to undergo a PET Scan for cancer and a biopsy on his lungs.  The tests showed cancer in the left lung, lymph node and liver and is at stage 4.  They will start chemo next week and said it will just keep him comfortable, he could live 4 months or up to a year.  They will be doing an MRI on his brain next week as this type of cancer usually travels to the brain.  Pray for my sister Sandy who is scared to death.  Pray for acceptance, courage, understanding, strength, patience, comfort and healing.  Also pray for the medical team that will be taking care of him and that his care is the absolute best there is out there.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please keep Kasey Smith, the sister of my daughter’s friend in your prayers.  Below is a note Kristen sent me regarding this poor young woman’s struggles.  Pray for comfort and healing and that whatever hospital she is in that they take better care of her than what this message indicates.  Thank you.

Our friend Charles’s sister, Kasey Smith, is in the hospital and has been for almost 2 weeks. She was vomiting blood and having bloody stool, she went to the ER a couple of times and they couldn’t tell her anything and sent her home. The last time she went, they admitted her. She had a liver transplant as a child, so she has had problems in the past. When they admitted her, they did a liver biopsy. During the biopsy she contracted E.coli, which in turn sent her body into toxic shock. They had to put her in a coma, and Nicole used the term paralyze her body. She was in ICU until a couple of days ago when they woke her from the coma. She’s doing ok, and is now on the liver transplant floor (I would assume because of her history). She will have to go to residential physical therapy, not sure for how long, since her body was paralyzed for over a week. She’s only in her mid-twenties, so she’s young and hopefully can make a full recovery. Charles and Nicole are getting married in November so they’re also concerned if Kasey will be able to be a part of it or even be there for that matter.

Update on Prayer Request

Please continue to keep Bill Jones and his family in your prayers.  Tracy has told me he is a bit better today and they hope to have a plan either later today or tomorrow for treatment / rehabilitation.  This is a start of a life changing road for them and taking it one step at a time.  Please continue to keep them and the medical team working with them on Bill’s treatment in your prayers.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please be in prayer for Bill Jones and his family.  Bill is the Scoutmaster for Scout Troop 757 at Hollydale and has had a small stroke and is in Kennestone Hospital.  He will be there for a few days.  Tracy isn’t sure of all the details yet, but will fill us in when they are available.  Pray for the medical team assisting Bill in his care and for comfort for his family during this difficult situation.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please keep Monty Prymus in your prayers.  Monty is at Cobb Welstar Hospital and they believe he had an allergic reaction and are treating him.  He hopes to come home soon. Pray they find the answer and that he is on the road to recovery very soon.  Also keep Monty's wife, Shirley, in your prayers as she is struggling with grief due to the sudden loss of their daughter.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please keepStanley & Louise Whitein your prayers.  As many of you know they were involved in an auto accident a couple weeks ago and had their two grandsons with them.  All are okay health wise, but their truck was totaled and now they have to work through all the insurance red tape and replacement of a vehicle.  Pray they get quick answers and are not burdened with costs they shouldn’t have to bare due to someone else’s fault.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please keep Susan Meara  brother and his family in your prayers.  Susan is a life long friend of Lynn Reynolds' friend and she sent the note below relating to Susan brother's health situation.  Also, thanks for the prayers tht went out for Lynn and her son Daniel.

I have had two pen pals since I was 13 years old. They have been with me through thick and thin.

One, Susan Meara, lives in NY State, Jamestown.

Her brother had a stroke Friday. This is at least his second attack.  Right now, I don’t know the damage.

Please pray for these folks, many thanks.

Also, things are better with my son Daniel, but please continue prayers.
