Praises - Danny Craik

Danny sent the message below to give his Hollydale family some good news about his move to New York.  Please keep Danny in your prayers as he starts this new job and for his continued progress in this new life he has.  Thank you.

Hello Susan. This is Danny Craik. I'm pleased to report I got a job at Emmanuel United Methodist Church as a custodian. It's full time. 40 hours a week. The pay is 11 dollars per hour. When I do a good job, I will be able to earn 12 dollars per hour. 

It's better than the restaurant job because Emmanuel United Methodist Church is only 10 minutes away from my apartment. The restaurant is about 40 minutes away from my apartment. 

I start my job at Emmanuel United Methodist Church one week from tomorrow. The problem with the restaurant is that it's still under construction. I have no idea when it will be open. 

Other good news is On Sunday, July 9th, I will officially be a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Pastor Darryl will usher in new members during church that day. 

Please pray I do well at the job at church. Thank you for everything you and Sunday School class and everyone at church has done for me. 

Please pass this along to everyone at church. 

I love you and I hope to see you on July 9th if possible.

Please keep Gordon, the brother of Gail Draper’s friend Romaine Christman.  Gail shared the concerns for Gordon and their family below.  Please keep all in our prayers.  Thank you.

 He found out a couple weeks ago he has an aneurysm just above his heart & they're trying to decide if they need to take it out or wait for 6 months. His daddy died from a lower abdominal aneurysm 15 years ago. So far, this is heronlybrother that has been tested. I hope the other 3 get it done soon now. Thanks again in advance😉

Please keep Wayne Thornton and his family in your prayers.  Peggy Thornton (no relation) sent the request below relating to Wayne and the tragic loss of his son.  Please pray for comfort and peace for this family as they struggle through this difficult time.  Thank you.

I would like to ask for prayers for Wayne Thornton(no relation) and his family. Wayne's 16 year-old son, Mahlon, was killed in a car accident a few days ago after a day of fishing with a friend. The driver hit a tree and Mahlon was killed instantly. Wayne was a wonderful caregiver for my husband when he was sick. Wayne was willing to help Tom anytime,  even coming over in the middle of the night, without hesitation or complaint. When I talked with Wayne, he was absolutely devastated. Please keep him and his family in prayer. Thank you

I checked in with Carole Shelborne to see how she is doing after her procedure and below is her response.  Praises she didn’t need a stint, but continued prayers for her medical concerns and that the medicine will address the problem.  Thank you.

All is well with me. I don't have to have the stint and any problems will be addressed with medicine. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and the support I always get from our wonderful church family. I can't imagine living without all of you and the love and concern that I receive every time I have needed it

Father’s name is Walter Dowdell and is now under Hospice care at home suffering with cancer.  Brother is Keith Dowdell and he recently had a massive heart attack and is slow in recovering from it.  Please also pray for Rhonda White, my coworker who is trying to work and be in Birmingham, AL as well to help her mother take care of her father as much as possible.  Pray for comfort and healing as they go through this difficult time.  Thank you.

Update & Continued Prayer Request

Donna has provided an update on Jeff Early’s condition.  See below.  Please continue to pray for healing for Jeff and his family.  Thank you. 

Susan, a few days ago I asked for prayers for Jeff Early who was found in his unconscious in his home and no one knew what had happened to him.  The doctors have determined that Jeff suffered a massive stroke and a mild heart attack.  Jeff has a long road of recovery and recuperation ahead of him.  It is still touch and go about saving his arm and his kidney function has not improved but, in fact, has gotten worse.  His family is very concerned about Jeff.  Please continue to hold Jeff and his family in your prayers.

Please keep Gail Black’s daughter-in-law Paula and her family in your prayers.  She was on a mission trip and a large tree limb fell on her.  Below is a note that was received.  Paula is in pretty serious condition.  Please pray for healing and for the medical team taking care of her.  Thank you.

Around 3pm Sunday Paula was stuck by a large branch falling from a tree. She was ambulated to a traumatic center in Fayetteville, AR for assessment. She had a crushed vertebrae, a chipped vertebrae, a fractured clavicle, and both eye sockets have fractures from the fall. Surgery is tomorrow, Wednesday. They'll be more info to follow, but for now please pray for full healing and restoration.
Joel is at Paula's side at the hospital, Gracie and Trinity are at the missions house continuing on with the work and learning...PTL.

Prayer Request—Jeff Early

Please hold Jeff Early and his family in your prayers.  Donna Parrish shared the prayer request below regarding Jeff’s situation.  Pray for answers and healing.  Thank you.

Susan, I'd like to ask prayers for the cousin of a coworker of mine.  His name is Jeff Early (No relation to my son-in-law that we are aware.).  Jeff was found Saturday afternoon lying face down in his home.  He doesn't know how he got there.  The last he remembers he was in a bar on Friday evening.  No one knows how Jeff got home or what happened to him.  He lay on his arm so long there is major damage to the arm and doctors are unsure if they will be able to save it.  Jeff is also experiencing some swelling in his brain and issues with his kidneys.  Jeff is a heavy equipment operator so losing his arm would have a major effect on him being able to do his job.  He is a kind and generous man and his family is very worried about him and asks we pray for his healing.  The big hurdle right now is his arm.  The doctors think the other issues will right themselves in time.  Thank you all for your prayer on Jeff's behalf.

Prayers for Jessica Elder and Juanita Gibson

Jessie and i are both at Kaiser town park overnight. She has 3 kidney stones, hydronephrosis and borderline appendicitis. I was having chest pain, high WBC, and a slightly abnormal EKG.  We are in adjoining rooms for tonight with more tests for both of us tomorrow morning. Me a nuclear stress test, her more imaging to see if she needs her appendix out soon or can wait. Just wanted you to know. We are OK at the moment. Wil let you know more as we do. Love you.
