Update on Prayer Request for Dwight Wilson's Surgery on April 13

Please continue to keep Dwight Wilson and Sharon Popinski in your prayers.  Below is an update from Carolyn on the kidney transplant surgery.

Hello, Friends,

We want to let you know that Dwight Wilson's kidney transplant surgery went well today at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.  Some of you have met Dwight who is David's youngest son.

Also, Dwight's first cousin Sharon Popinski's surgery  went well.  Sharon donated her kidney to Dwight.  What an amazing story of love and generosity this is!

We want to thank all of you for the prayers and the concern during this time.

We praise God for his love, mercy and grace!

David and Carolyn Wilson

My apologies, I misspelled Irene & Ray's last name.  It should be Eichenlaub, not Ichenlaub.  Please continue to keep Irene in your prayers.  Thank you.

Prayer Request

Mary Justice shared the message below relating to a very tragic accident.  Please keep these families in your prayers. Prayers for understanding and peace for all involved.  Thank you.

Susan, I wanted to share this amongst the prayer warriors at Hollydale.  I do not know the parties involved, but a good friend of mine shared this very sad situation with me today.  Prayer is a wonderful thing. God knows all involved.  He just asks us to always pray.Prayers for Rick Poulnett and Karen Tinsley.  This happened in the Athens area last night.Rick was traveling home before he went to the hospital to check on his mom.  He was driving into the sun and struck Karen who was on a motorcycle.  He never knew what he hit until he saw her tire in the rear view mirror. He stopped to help and comfort her until emergency help came.  Tragically she lost her life and he lost part of his.Rick is being characterized as a very Godly person.  Leads by example. Walks by faith. Close relationship with God.  Deacon at his church.  No doubt both families lives are turned upside down, but there appears to be some finger pointing and the media getting quite involved. The sunshine is just an excuse but we have all had to endure that bright sun affecting our vision.Rick is portrayed as the person someone calls when they are struggling or needing to be uplifted. Both victims are remarkable people.  Rick has taught Sunday School for many years and has taught College and Career classes.  he and Kim both had led youth groups.  He is a wonderful son, loving husband, awesome Father and brother.Prayers for both families.  Praying for peace and some understanding. Praying that name calling and slander will stop. Praying that the Courts will get the decision right and Rick can move on.It is definitely affecting him emotionally as it would any of us.Again, just prayers for both families and this situation.

Please keep my brother-in-law, Jerry Wade, and my sister Sandyand their family in your prayers.  As many know, Jerry has been battling cancer over the past several months and has been on our prayer list for quite some time.  He went to the doctor today and received bad news that his liver enzymes have increased to 12, normal is 3.  They don’t believe there is anything more they can do for him and have called hospice in and said it could be anytime.  This breaks my heart.  Please pray for comfort, strength, understanding, acceptance and peace and that God watches over them during this difficult time.  Thank you.

Prayer & Card Requests

Please keep Gordon Sauerbrun in your thoughts and prayers.  Carey got a call today that his Dad has an infection and is back in the hospital.  Not many details right now.  Prayers that it can be identified quickly and healing and strength will be done. He had made such good progess, so I am sure this setback is concerning. Praying for comfort and peace for Carey and his family as I know they are all concerned.

Prayer Request

Please keep Melissa Wheeler in your prayers. Melissa has had the flu and also was involved in a car accident a few weeks ago. She is experiencing severe pain in her lower back and leg and is seeking medical help and legal guidance due to the accident and her injury. This is very upsetting to Melissa as she is not one to just sit or lay around, always up and going. If you would liike to send her a card or words of encouragment, her address is below. Pray for healing, comfort and answers to her situation. Thank you.

Prayer Request

Please keep Austin Walker and his family, in your prayers.  Austin is Peggy Thornton’s grandson and is at Children’s Healthcare.  Please see Peggy’s email below regarding Austin’s medical condition and request for prayers.  Please pray for this little guy to get better and be able to go home soon.  He’s in good hands at Children’s Hospital and prayers for the medical team and his parents and grandmother.  Thank you.

I am requesting prayers for my eight-month old grandson, John Austin Walker. He was admitted to Children's Healthcare on 02/26 with a 104 temp. and labored breathing. He has a severe case of bronchiolitis with no improvement. He has been on oxygen and continues to spike a fever. When the oxygen level is lowered, he has to work harder to breath,  so the oxygen level has to be increased. He's at the max allowed on the patient floors. Another blood sample was done today and his white blood cell count has doubled from 2 days ago. He now has an infection that the doctor thinks is in the lungs, so the doctor has started antibiotics and steroids. Please pray that he turns the corner for good soon. Thank you.

Prayers and Uptdate on Gordon Sauerbrun

Here is an update as he had his surgery this morning.

Did well in surgery. Going into ICU. Family should be able to see him in about an hour. Will have to see if he can maintain a steady heart rate over the next couple of weeks to see if permanent pacemaker will be needed or not.

Prayers for travel mercies for Beth and Carey as they are driving to Ohio.

Please keep Gordon Sauerbrun and his family in your prayers. Mary Justice sent the note below regarding Gordon’s condition.  Gordon is Mary’s Justice’s son-in-law Cary’s dad.  Thank you.

Susan, I would like to send out a prayer request for Carey's dad, Gordon Sauerbrun.  He has been having some heart issues and will be having surgery on 2 13 2018 to fix his Artois valve as well as cleaning up some other items.  Gordon calls it maintenance items.  There is a possibility even with the surgery that he still may need a pace maker.

Prayers needed for the surgical team, the hospital staff, Gordon and Marilyn(Carey's mom) as well as Carey and his sister Carol.

Praying for good results. Praying for strength and healing.  Praying for comfort of all anxieties and that God will cover Gordon and Marilyn and Carey and Carol with peace.
